Is CrewQuote really free to start?
You get 14 days free. You pick your plan and enter card details at signup, but nothing is charged during the trial. We email you on day 5, and again two days before it ends telling you the exact date and amount — so there are no surprises. Cancel in one click from your billing page any time and you won't be charged. Plans start at $29 CAD/month (see the pricing table). If you do forget and get charged, email us and we'll refund it — no argument.
What trades can use CrewQuote?
CrewQuote works for any contractor who quotes jobs and invoices clients — electricians, plumbers, HVAC techs, landscapers, excavation crews, masonry, roofing, fencing, general contractors, and more. If you do field work and need to bill customers, CrewQuote is built for you.
Does it calculate HST and US sales tax automatically?
You set your rate once in your business profile and CrewQuote applies it to every quote and invoice automatically — no per-line math. Canadian contractors can set an HST or GST/PST rate; US contractors can set their applicable sales tax rate the same way. Note: CrewQuote applies the rate you enter — it isn't a tax, accounting or legal service, and it doesn't determine nexus or look up jurisdiction-specific rates for you. Choosing the correct rate and handling your filings stays with you and your accountant.
How is CrewQuote different from Jobber or QuickBooks?
CrewQuote is deliberately narrower in scope. Jobber and QuickBooks are capable, mature products — Jobber covers scheduling and dispatch, QuickBooks covers full accounting.
